Basically NFT is a fancy way to say that piece of digital art is unique and can’t be exchanged.

An NFT or non-fungible tokens, is a digital certificate of ownership that is non-duplicable. It is a “smart” contract created using open-source code. Once the code is written, it is “minted” as a permanently published token added to the Ethereum blockchain (ERC 721 or ERC 1155).

Instead of receiving an oil painting on canvas to hang on your wall, for example, you get a JPG file.

NFTs are best understood as computer files combined with proof of ownership and authenticity, like a deed.
Like cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, they exist on a blockchain: a tamper-resistant digital public ledger.

And what about OpenSea? A peer-to-peer marketplace for NFTs, rare digital items and crypto collectibles.OpenSea has been active since 2018 and is one of the world leaders among NFT Marketplaces. The platform proudly claimed on their website that they are in fact the largest NFT Marketplace in the world.
